Prayer Update

Hey Guys,

Thank you for the quick prayer response.

I was told that Stacy was being released from the hospital tonight. His CT scan was clear and EKG was fine. They will be changing his medication.

See you in the morning,

Mark

Urgent Prayer Request

Stacy Belmudes, one of our newer members, has been rushed to St. Petes by ambulance this morning. His blood pressure was off the chart and he has a severe headache.

Last summer, Stacy had a heart attack and died on the operating table. He was revived and has been healthy since the surgery.

Stacy has recently committed to joining our group and seeking God's Word on a daily basis. This is a spiritual attack, and Satan is trying to strike fear in their home.

Please join with me in prayer for our new friend Stacy. Tiffany and I are watching their kids during this difficult time.

Power of Prayer - Mark

Acts 12:5
So Peter was kept in prison, but the church was earnestly praying to God for him.

I have been waiting on God so long that I find myself resigned to the fact that God will do His will in His time. I am so weary that I have forgotten about the power of prayer.

Notes from a previous sermon:
  • Prayer has the power to stop a Satan filled enemy
  • Prayer can prevail over the apparent victory of Satan
  • Prayer can postpone the judgment of God
  • Prayer can change the course of history
  • Prayer is the key to understanding things I don't understand
  • I can change my situation through the power of prayer
Thank you Jesus for the sending us the Holy Spirit and for the power of prayer.

Today I lay on my back surrounded in LOVE by my brothers in Christ commited to give all I am to HIM! JESUS LOVES ME! - Ted

Baptized in the Holy Spirit

Eric

Acts 10:

44 Even as Peter was saying these things, the Holy Spirit fell upon all who were listening to the message.

So awesome, anyone with faith to recieve him can and will. I am in awe.

Exodus 35:31 - Seth

"He's filled him with the Spirit of God, with skill, ability, and know-how for making all sorts of things to design and work in gold, silver, and bronze, to carve stones and set them, to carve wood, working in every kind of skilled craft."

I know I posted something similar two days ago.  But I really want this for my movie ministry!  C'mon Jesus, fill me with your Spirit so I can make movies that glorify you!

Cast Vision - Mark

Exodus 36:2-7
Moses summoned Bezalel and Oholiab along with all whom God had gifted with the ability to work skillfully with their hands. The men were eager to get started and engage in the work. They took from Moses all the offerings that the Israelites had brought for the work of constructing the Sanctuary. The people kept on bringing in their freewill offerings, morning after morning.

All the artisans who were at work making everything involved in constructing the Sanctuary came, one after another, to Moses, saying, "The people are bringing more than enough for doing this work that God has commanded us to do!"

So Moses sent out orders through the camp: "Men! Women! No more offerings for the building of the Sanctuary!" The people were ordered to stop bringing offerings! There was plenty of material for all the work to be done. Enough and more than enough.

If everyone in the church tithed of their money and their time, the church would overflow. We would have more than enough money for facilities and more than enough volunteers. The burden would be light and not continue to fall on a few people.

Moses challenged the people to dig deep and be a part of building something wonderful. People naturally want to be a part of something greater than themselves. They want to see God at work and accomplish a goal. Moses was able to share God's inspired vision for the temple and get the people on board.

When our church lacks money and volunteers, we must look at ourselves, the church leadership. Have I shared God's vision for this ministry with my volunteers? Do they understand the importance of greeting people, running cameras, and changing diapers? Has the leadership cast a vision for something great, or have we become content with the status quo?

Loyal in Love, Exodus 34:6-7 MSG - Ted

"God, God, a God of mercy and grace, endlessly patient - so much love, so deeply true - loyal in love for a thousand generations, forgiving iniquity, rebellion, and sin. Still, he doesn't ignore sin. He Holds sons and grandsons responsible for a father's sins to the third and even fourth generation."

Acts 9:10-19 - Lucas

I got more or less the same out of these verses as Mark did today. I like Mark's reference to Isaiah 55.

It is so important that we are obedient. God is in complete control and even if it sometimes seems that what He is asking us to do doesn't make sense, or even worse seems dangerous, we need to remember we can't see the outcome He sees. Yeah, Saul was a jerk, and Ananias knew it. All the Christians knew it. But God had already laid the smack down on Saul before he got to town. He literally put him on the ground, got in his face, and asked him why he was fighting the truth so hard. So Saul was harmless by now. And, because Ananias was obedient, he got to fill one of God's most powerful servants with the Holy Spirit! What an honor!

Lord, help me to remember that You are in control, and that through obedience I will see the blessings You have in store for me and my family. Amen

Psalm 16:5-6 - Seth

"My choice is you, God, first and only.  And now I find I'm your choice!  You set me up with a house and a yard.  And then you made me your heir!"

Daily Obedience - Mark

Acts 9:13-16
Ananias protested, "Master, you can't be serious. Everybody's talking about this man and the terrible things he's been doing, his reign of terror against your people in Jerusalem! And now he's shown up here with papers from the Chief Priest that give him license to do the same to us."

But the Master said, "Don't argue. Go! I have picked him as my personal representative to non-Jews and kings and Jews. And now I'm about to show him what he's in for—the hard suffering that goes with this job."

This passage reminds me of the famous quote"Ours not to reason why, Ours but to do and die" by Lord Alfred Tennyson. It is used in the military to remind us that we are soldiers on the battlefield and our commanders know more than we do.

Isaiah 55:8 "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways," declares the LORD.

God is the ultimate commander not only seeing our present circumstances, but seeing the future ramifications as well. Following Him through daily battles is a conscious choice. Knowing that He loves us and wants the best for us, do we really have any other choice than surrendering our will to total obedience?

Exodus 31:2 - Seth

"I've filled him with the Spirit of God, giving him skill and know how
and expertise in every kind of craft to create designs and work in
gold, silver and bronze; to cut and set gemstones, to carve wood he's
an all around craftsman."

Fill me up today Jesus so I can create things that glorify you!

Relationship

Moses was on the mountain when the people turned to thier own ways and worshiped somthing not of God. God was ferious, he was just about to destroy them. Moses then pleaded with God.

Exodus 32:13-14 (New Living Translation)

13 Remember your servants Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.[a] You bound yourself with an oath to them, saying, 'I will make your descendants as numerous as the stars of heaven. And I will give them all of this land that I have promised to your descendants, and they will possess it forever.'"

14 So the Lord changed his mind about the terrible disaster he had threatened to bring on his people.

Now that is what I call a relationship with God. I know we have the same opportunity to be that close to God. What is keeping me from that, I would love to be able to plead for my friends and family and have God listen to me and change his mind for me. I want that Relationship.

Father I pray you will open my eyes, I want to clearly understand what is required of me to be closer to you. I want to get-er-done. I pray for more moments of honest Devotion with you lord.

Demand Righteousness - Mark

Exodus 32:5-6,27-29
When Aaron saw all this, he built an altar before the calf and announced, "Tomorrow there will be a special feast to honor the Lord." The people got up early the next morning and offered whole burnt offerings and fellowship offerings. They sat down to eat and drink, and then they got up and sinned sexually.

Then Moses said to them, "The Lord, the God of Israel, says this: 'Every man must put on his sword and go through the camp from one end to the other. Each man must kill his brother, his friend, and his neighbor.' " The people from the family of Levi obeyed Moses, and that day about three thousand of the Israelites died. Then Moses said, "Today you have been given for service to the Lord. You were willing to kill your own sons and brothers, and God has blessed you for this."

Exodus 12 tells us that 600,000 men left Egypt and 3,000 refused to repent and turn away from this sexual sin. Less than one percent of the Israelites continued to sin, but God knows that immorality spreads quickly.

While society pressures us into being tolerant and politically correct, America has surpassed this level of immorality. God will eventually release his judgment unless we clean up our own country. Are there any Levites left to stand up and demand righteousness?

Attack the Enemy - Seth

Stop letting the Enemy attack you and your families.  Pick up your sword and attack the enemy using the sword you have been given.  The Word of God and your mouth!  Believe what you read.  Speak what you read.  Live what you read.

I don't know who this was for but choose to be full of faith not full of fear.  Step up and fight depression and discouragement.  I challenge everyone to read their Bibles out loud today.  Let the enemy know what you believe and remind yourself what you believe.

Love you guys!

Seth
