Heart of Worship - Mark

Psalms 54:6-7
I'm ready now to worship, so ready.
I thank you, God—you're so good.
You got me out of every scrape,
and I saw my enemies get it.

Thank you Jesus for the freedom, and now I am ready to worship.

Psalm 51 - Lucas

Create in me a clean heart, O God
And renew a steadfast spirit within me
Do not cast me away from Your presence
And do not take your Holy Spirit from me.

Control - Lucas

Psalm 20:7 - Some trust in chariots, and some in horses; But we will remember the name of the Lord our God.

Sometimes I have to remind myself that I cannot control everything in my environment. For example, we have outlet covers and those annoying cabinet things so Madelyn doesn't shock herself or play with cleaning supplies. But at the same time, she could totally fall down the stairs. I remember a lot of the stupid stuff we did as kids and sometimes am amazed we all made it. I want everything to go right for Madelyn, but I can't always protect or go to battle for her.

At some point, we cannot rely on the chariots and horses that went up against the Israelites in countless battles, and lost. Like the Israelites, I must have faith that the Lord will protect in ways I have no control over, will fight the battles I cannot win.

His Anointed - Mark

Psalms 20:4-6
May he give you the desire of your heart
and make all your plans succeed.

We will shout for joy when you are victorious
and will lift up our banners in the name of our God.
May the LORD grant all your requests.

Now I know that the LORD saves his anointed;
he answers him from his holy heaven
with the saving power of his right hand.

I know that the battle is already won, and you deserve all the glory. Thank you Jesus for choosing me.

"The Great Commandment"

The letters in Red are the words spoken to us by Christ Jesus which means above all others scriptures; 37 And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. 38 This is the great and first commandment. 39 And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. 40 On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets.”we should pay close attention to them which brings to me these words from Matthew 22 Vs.37-40; We should be able to get this right, especially for our group of Men.

Matthew 21:22 - Lucas

And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive.

How do I know what I am praying for is within God's will?

Matthew 21 Vs. 21-22

21 And Jesus answered them, “Truly, I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what has been done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ it will happen. 22 And whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith.”

Doubt, seems to prevail more over Faith, but Jesus want our Faith to be stronger than Doubt. By being "Faithful"once again in the little things, as we grow so will it and the "Doubt" will disappear, and we can move Mountains to accomplish many things for is kingdom.

Why do I serve? - Lucas

Matthew 20:1-16 (Parable of the Workers in the Vineyard)

I read this today and the main thing I was thinking about was why I serve. Is it because I feel obligated, or because I want to? Is it for the reward or out of love?

Today it is love. Thank you Lord!

Who am I? - Mark

1 Chronicles 17:16
Who am I, my Master God, and what is my family, that you have brought me to this place in life? But that's nothing compared to what's coming, for you've also spoken of my family far into the future, given me a glimpse into tomorrow and looked on me, Master God, as a Somebody.

God, why did you pick me? Why did you lead me on this faith journey? Why did you plant a seed of entrepreneurship in my soul? Why did you promise me a future far beyond what I could dream of?

I believe that God invites us all on a faith journey, but many are unwilling to step out in faith. What has God called you to do? Are you willing to put logic behind you and take a blind step of faith? Are you willing to make the short term sacrifices in order to see God's will done in your life?

Mana Fairy Strikes Again

Last week we ran out of milk early in the week. I was on the way to Walmart only to find 2 half gallons of milk on the doorstep. God is so good!

The wonderful ladies from Linda's Sunday school class sent $200 just in the nick of time. We are so thankful for their ability to hear from God and be obedient.

Even after my faith filled post last week about Daily Bread, I was struggling with a bad attitude on Saturday. We were down to our last $10, and I was starting to get nervous. I remembered my post on the way to the airport, and I made a conscious choice to turn toward God. I turned on some Christian music and started praising. I was able to leave it in His hands.

Last night, my parents blessed us with a large check for all the work that we had done on their home while they were on vacation. It was far beyond what I had expected, and God reminded me that "Your Grace is Enough."

2 Samuel 7:29 - Seth

"God!  Oh may your blessing be on my family permanently!"
