The Counselor, John 14:15-17 - Ted

Scripture: "If you love me, obey my commandments. And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counselor, who will never leave you. He is the Holy Spirit, who leads into all truth. The world at large cannot receive him, because it isn't looking for him and doesn't recognize him. But you do, because he lives WITH you now and will be IN you."

Observation: The "Holy Spirit" is Jesus in us like a 24/7 Mentor. (Have you been baptized in the Holy Spirit? If not, contact me and I'll hook you up!)

Action: Listen to the Holy Spirit as he directs your decisions.

Prayer: Help me Jesus to be quick to listen (to the Counselor) and slow to act (follow my own ambition)

  1. I to found it amazing that the word counselor was used and that we could seek counsel or mentoring as you put it, through the Holy Spirit. I am move when I think of how he guides us internaly and that we could have an amazing dialogue with him so freely. Lord Jesus thank you!
