Persecution of Peers- Michael

ACTS 23-

Paul, who was a Pharisee, and now a disciple of Christ Jesus confronts his peers along with the Sadducee s, to proclaim Jesus Christ is our Lord. We find that his peers are less receptive to this than they should be knowing Gods word, and a certain party of them swear not to eat or drink until them had slain him.

Even today in our missions fields where we spread God's word, people directly encounter what the disciples went through, there direct peers confronting them and persecuting them for not following the faith of there people(s).

How would we react to someone threatening our lives the way Paul's was threatened? Could we by faith take the same persecutions today?

We are to be set apart from the world, and yet we live in it and work and play along side people who aren't and who claim to be Christians. Does there criticism influence how we are in the public eye?

Sunday was a good test for myself and family, we had diner out per request of the children. When we first sat down with the eyes on us looking back its like great our meals ruined, those kids will be heathens and out of control. When we were served we prayed had our meal and in the end, the people around us complimented us for our beliefs and how well our children did. It was a small test by our peers I feel who prejudged us based on our children, it is proving the normal attitude wrong today that gains us ground.
